Indian Research Scholars Association organized a lecture on the topic ‘Art of Writing in Social Sciences’ on Friday, May 24, 2024 at 5 pm. The keynote speaker of this topic was Prof. B. B. Mohanty. At the beginning of the program, our guest wished and congratulated the entire team of this institution and said that it is important to have such platforms where students and researchers organize a program together. At the beginning of the lecture, he shared his field visit experiences and told that many mistakes happen during that time due to which the results of the research are not meaningful. He said in his lecture that we need to avoid prejudices, whenever research work is done, it is necessary to estimate different circumstances in it. This creates obstacles in our thinking and understanding and we hesitate to adopt new things. He also shared practical research estimates and coordination in the lecture. During this, at the end of the program, many research students also asked questions, which were answered by Professor Venkatachalam. At the beginning of the program, Vikas Kumar, Research Scholar, Department of Political Science and Human Rights, Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Amarkantak delivered a welcome address. He welcomed and greeted our guest and explained the format of the program. At the beginning of his lecture, he talked about the importance of research, its quality and writing. The main aspects were clarified. When an idea is taken from a research paper, it is necessary to give its reference. It should not be done that if a research paper has not been read and its reference has been given, then all these aspects come under plagiarism. For this, he shared the research techniques adopted by Indian, American, Australian and Iraqi social scientists and said that the circumstances in social science keep changing according to the area and circumstances. This lecture was conducted by Papi Haldar, Research Scholar, Lucknow University and the co-directors of the program were Sakshi Singh, Research Scholar, BHU and the other Rifa, Research Scholar, AMU. At the end of the program, many queries of the researchers and students were resolved through a question-answer session. All the listeners benefited from the views of our chief guest. Many researchers, students and listeners were present in this lecture. Ganeshi Lal, Research Scholar, Ashwini, Research Scholar, Naina Prasad, Research Scholar, Neha Prasad, Research Scholar, Kolkata etc. were connected. This lecture was organized through Google Meet. At the beginning of the program, a welcome address was given by Vikas Kumar, Research Scholar, Department of Political Science and Human Rights, Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Amarkantak. He welcomed and greeted our guest and explained the format of the program.
