Indian Research Scholars Association is organizing a national-level webinar on “Indian Knowledge System for National Identity and Global Harmony”. The webinar aims to provide researchers, academicians, and students with a lens through which to explore the depth and diversity of the Indian Knowledge System (IKS). India is rich in its culture, values, intellectual tradition, and ancient knowledge system reflected through the ancient universities such as Nalanda and Takshashila, the Gurukul system of education, and contributions like Vaidik Mathematics. Indian culture and values see the ‘whole world is one family’ Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (Sanskrit: वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम्) as mentioned in its Maha Upanishad. The Indian Knowledge System presents a vast heritage of wisdom that has evolved over the ages, encompassing arts, science, technology, economics, literature, health, governance, philosophy, and more. The Indian Knowledge System offers valuable insights for establishing harmony between humans and nature. In this globalized era, rapid technological changes, cultural shifts, and new challenges are there; review and reinterpretation of IKS is essential for fostering inclusive growth, as well as sustainable development with cultural pride.The upcoming webinar seeks to examine the relevance of IKS in contemporary education, innovation, policy-making, and governance.

Objectives of the Workshop:

The Indian knowledge system is an important aspect of the contemporary scenario because it has demonstrated global harmony in various perspectives and has revealed the path of spirituality, philosophy, yoga, good governance, and harmony to the global civilization. It has embraced the diverse and rich intellectual traditions of India, spanning millennia and influencing various domains such as philosophy, science, mathematics, medicine, arts, and governance. Through this workshop, understand Indian Spirituality and Interfaith Dialogue with various philosophical perspectives to establish global harmony and global peace, to promote and integrate India’s traditional knowledge systems into modern education and research.

This is important to the students who are studying in Graduation and Post-Graduation in the above fields. Anyone interested in improving their knowledge of the Indian Knowledge System of ancient and contemporary times can join this workshop.Interested participants are requested to fill out the Google form to register.   • The certificate will be issued to the participants after completion of the e-workshop within 10-15 days. A certificate will be provided to those participants who will actively participate in the Workshop and fill out the feedback form. The feedback form will be sent by the moderator of the session at the end of each academic session.
