Systematic Research Methodology is necessary for the research proposal: Prof. Upendra Chaudhary
A lecture on the applied topic of ‘Writing of Research Proposal’ was organized by the “Indian Research Scholars Association” at 5 pm. The main speaker on this topic was Professor Upendra Chaudhary, Professor, Department of Political Science, Aligarh Muslim University, Former Director and Member Secretary ICSSR, Ministry of Education, Government of India, New Delhi. He gave a comprehensive lecture on this subject. At the beginning of his lecture, he clarified the main points of research, its quality, and writing. Initially, while mentioning the process of selecting the title of the research proposal, he said that the title should be about ten to fifteen words and should not be too broad and long. In which clarity of fundamental ideas is very important in the selection of the title. When any idea is taken from any research paper, it is necessary to give its reference. It should also not be done that if a research paper has not been read and its reference is given, then all these aspects come under plagiarism. For this, while sharing the social scientists of Indian, America, Australia, and Iraq and the research techniques being adopted by them, he said that the circumstances in social sciences keep changing according to the region and time. , Literature related to the subject in which research is being done should be studied and then the problem should be selected. He also said that the quality of research proposals in social science subjects in India is low. Original ideas are rarely seen in research papers. If the problems in social science subjects are identified, then sufficient facts can be referred to, due to which the originality of the research becomes clear. Therefore, research must be done with adequate facts and arguments. Research work should be started only after studying the literature related to the subject. While sharing his editing experience, he said that if quantitative research is done in the research and the hypothesis is not tested, then the title of the research paper remains different and the subject matter of the research is different, then in such a situation the research paper’s The quality becomes very low. For this, it is necessary that the literature related to the title selected should be studied and compiled in the research. He concentrated on all aspects from the selection of the research proposal to the bibliography. In the end, Prof. Upendra Chaudhary answered the questions of all the participants.
