The Zonal Wings of the Indian Research Scholars Association (IRSA) function as decentralized regional units established to expand the association’s outreach and strengthen research collaboration across different parts of India. Their primary work is to connect research scholars at the regional level, promote academic activities, and implement IRSA’s vision locally. Each zonal wing operates under the guidance of the central executive body while addressing region-specific academic needs.
The key responsibilities of the zonal wings include coordinating regional seminars, webinars, workshops, and conferences; identifying and enrolling new research scholars as members; facilitating networking among universities and research institutions within the zone; and disseminating information about IRSA programs and opportunities. Zonal coordinators and their teams are also responsible for maintaining communication between the central body and local members, preparing periodic activity reports, and supporting collaborative research initiatives.
Zonal Wings of the Indian Research Scholars Association. There are five Zonal Wings.
1.Northeast Zone Wing.
2. South Zone Wing.
3. East Zone Wing.
4. West Zone Wing.
5. Central Zone Wing.
The separate executive that name is Regional Executive committee will coordinate all activities of the Zonal wings. IRSA will appoint coordinator for each wing from the Executive Committee to conduct the activities and appoint the members for Regional Executive committee members (RECM).
